Span and Support Recommendations for 32mm Heatguard Polycarbonate Sheets

The increased rigidity of 32mm polycarbonate allows for wider spans compared to thinner sheets. When planning your project, consider the following span guidelines:

  • Without Cross Bracing: Rafters should be spaced at approximately 1,500mm.
  • With Cross Bracing: Spans can increase to up to 1,800mm, depending on project requirements and load conditions.

For projects exposed to heavy winds or snowfall, incorporating cross-bracing is recommended to enhance stability and distribute loads evenly.
